February loves pink

February is the month of love and at the beginning it's all pink.
At least these new scrapstuff is all pink.

DST Winter Get Together challenges

Las two weeks I participate in four challenges at DigiShopTalk in the Winter Get Together challenges.

 

Week 1:

Strong women ~ Good resolutions

the challenge: use one of the two quotes:

Quote 1: It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not.

Quote 2: Don't give up what you want most, for what you want now.

The challenge was hosted by Snackpack Gu's designs and she give's us a kit to work with on this challenge.

 

And this is the layout I made with it.

The second challenge: Take the journal card challenge.

The challenge: use journal cards in your layout and think outside the box.

The challenge was hosted by pixelscrapper and she provides us journal cards to work with.

I found a great template from Akizo designs to work with

 For the second layout I used selective collering in the pictures.
I made 3 layers of the same picture.
the first (under) I made black/white

the second (middle) I used the soft light filter (corel paint shop pro x3)

and the third (on top) I selected only the red colors (with the magic tool - color paint shop pro x3) and ereased the rest.
